For any eCommerce web site, four key components are required; a storefront, a checkout, a site for your store and an email address. Of course, additional facilities can supplement your eCommerce site in order to make it easier for you and your shoppers to use, but both key and supplementary components are both available from WorldPay.

Do I need a shopping cart?

A

Most businesses on the web use an online catalogue, that fronts their payment facilities, to advertise their goods or services. These are generically known as shopping carts, or storefronts. WorldPay can provide these facilities either through its own fully integrated solution, or from a range of third party solutions.

WorldPay's storebuilder, Click and Build, has been designed for people with a range of abilities, from those with no skills whatsoever, to professional web developers. Many of our non-technical clients using Click and Build have developed professional looking stores with no interaction with our support team whatsoever. Of course, we do provide email and telephone support on a range of eCommerce subjects should it be required.

How long does Click and Build/WorldPay take to set up?

Of course, this depends upon the number of products that you wish to advertise in your store, but for a small to medium sized store you should be trading within two working days.

Click and Build is a powerful eCommerce tool that allows you to build an online store, without the necessity for HTML and programming skills.

Can I use Click and Build for more than one site if I wanted to have three stores for example?

A

Yes, but you will have to pay three hosting fees. Each site will accrue a hosting fee.

You can define how the search engines list your web site. Click and Build includes registration with over 700 search engines in use on the internet today. These include Infoseek, Excite and Lycos

Can Click and Build handle the more complex business functions such as tax, shipping, discounting, stock control, sales order processing and online payments?

Yes. Click and Build has all these facilities as well as many others. These include feature products, keyword and category search tools, key event emailing, soft goods downloading, shopper order enquiry and a report writer.

How will Click and Build handle tax and shipping?

A

Click and Build has a complete tax and shipping area which enables you to sell from anywhere to anywhere. Tax location and shipping type are combined to create a drop down menu of dispatch choices. Tax rates can be added to individual products and shipping costs can be added at product or basket level.

Does Click and Build have local/global tax plug-ins?

A

Click and Build allows you to set up any tax codes to cater for any business situation worldwide. Due to rapidly changing tax codes, we suggest that you consult a tax lawyer or accountant.

I already have my products in a database; do I have to enter them manually?

A

No, As long as your database can export in CSV format (comma separated values) they can be uploaded in bulk.

How can we integrate Click and Build with our normal web site development?

A

The option is given to use the look and feel of your existing site to surround Click and Build. Also by typing in your current web site address into Click and Build, you can link your online store into your existing web site.

I want to have several people using Click and Build for updating products etc. How can I stop them from going in and making errors?

A

When your Click and Build store is supplied, your system administrator is given access to all areas within the system. This person can assign a login name, password and access privileges to designated specific people. There are a number of default user group sets: Webmaster, accounts etc. Also custom user privileges can be added.

Can I offer a discount to my shoppers if they buy a certain number of products?

A

Click and Build offers ten different discount schemes to choose from including:
X items for the price of Y
X% off if the value is over Y
No shipping added if the value is over X

Can we build stores locally and upload them?

A

This cannot be done at the moment. However, Click and Build does have time-saving features. Inventory and images can be built locally and uploaded in bulk. The inventory - by creating a CSV (comma separated values) file in a spreadsheet. Images can be archived into zip files which are then uploaded and stored in image libraries.

Can I upload via FTP for my shop?

A

No. Only Via your browser. However, you can upload graphics, soft goods and inventory in bulk.

Is Click and Build compatible with MS FrontPage?

A

Any HTML that you have created can be embedded within the non-catalogue pages within Click and Build. Therefore it is compatible with any HTML development tool.

I sell greetings cards and t-shirts with printed text specified by my shoppers. How can I implement this in my online shop?

A

Shopper's instructions can be attached to products so that shoppers can enter text or choose from a list that you create. This will be sent to you with the order details. This covers monograms, dedications or any other instructions from the shopper.

What is a shopping cart?

A

A shopping cart is a program which your shoppers use to view and buy products online. It works on the principle of placing products from a shelf into a basket, then going to a checkout to pay for the goods. Unlike a supermarket, Click and Build will allow you to sell almost any goods and services.

Is Click and Build a shopping cart program?

A

Click and Build is an application which will build you a fully functional eCommerce site including a shopping cart solution. This occurs without you needing any technical knowledge and is already integrated into the range of WorldPay payment solutions.

Do you send me the software for Click and Build once I've paid or do you host it?

A

You will receive details on how to access your shop from NDC/WorldPay once you have signed up and passed the risk enquiry. This normally takes about five days.

How many products can Click and Build support

A

Click and Build had been load tested to 70,000 but bear in mind your available web space of ten megabytes and the number and size of graphics used. Ten megabytes should be enough for your needs. More disk space is available for an additional fee.

I want to allow shopperss to down load a file once they have paid for it online. How can I do this?

A

Click and Build offers soft goods downloads following a successful transaction. The goods can be any type e.g. software, images information etc.

How will product downloads work?

A

The shopper will pay online at the WorldPay Capture Centre. They get an email and on-screen receipt from WorldPay. Authorisation is sent back to Click and Build. Click and Build then sends an email receipt to the shopper and shows them a link to the interface where the shopper can access the product for a certain time period (stipulated by you). You will also get authorisation and order details.

How do I build my shop?

A

You build your shop by filling in forms and making selections. You can alter the appearance of your shop when you are first building it and after it has gone live. Simply by logging into your Click and Build store, you can make any changes that you want whenever you wish.

Do shops have to be built online?

A

Yes, this way you build your store gradually and see how it will appear to your shoppers at any time. However, your inventory, image libraries and any soft goods can be uploaded in bulk, thereby saving you time spent online. Also, multiple people can work on the site at the same time from different locations.

How flexible is Click and Build for the look and feel of the stores?

A

Click and Build's own setup facilities are very flexible with over 10,000 different permutations. Also HTML can be added if required. The system has been designed in such a way as to cater for virtually any need.

How can I stop myself running out of stock and how do I keep track of my orders?

A

Click and Build has stock maintenance facilities and will automatically send you email notification when your active stock reaches specified levels a full order administration area is available for tracking orders.

How can I keep track of my orders and statistics?

A

Click and Build has a report writer and an order maintenance section.

Can I run Click and Build in a frameset?

A

No, we deliberately avoided frames as sites including them cannot be indexed by search engines.

The program fails to work. I can't seem to get into the menus.

A

Computers store information about your shopping session locally called 'cookies'. This problem could be due to having your cookies disabled in your browser.

For Internet Explorer 4 users - Open your browser and go to the menu bar / View / internet options / advanced and check that 'accept all cookies' is highlighted. If not, check it and check Click and Build again.

For Netscape users - Open your browser and go to menu bar / edit / preferences / advanced and click on 'accept all cookies'. Click okay and try again. If the problem persists, contact support@clickandbuild.com.
