Why Register your Domain Names with FrostByte ?
What makes one domain registration service different from all the others ? Usually not very much at all ! FrostByte Domains and DNS was born out of our own frustrations with what was on offer from domain registrars, usually asking grossly inflated prices with little in the way of benefits and often some catches in the terms. In keeping with the FrostByte tradition, we decided decided that we could do better and challenged the competition by offering straightforward domain registration of a wide range of doamins names at low prices ! What is more, because we understand that some customers need even more flexibility and functionality, we offer all our optional extras at surprisingly affordable rates. So in a nutshell this is what we offer:
All This as Standard ! This is what you get as standard except for .WS domains which is a private registry with it´s own terms, conditions and services.
- Low Prices
- UK Domains from just £15 for 2 years, Generic/US domains are just £20 per year. Check out our full list of prices for full details.
- Wide Range of Domains
- As well as UK and Generic/US domains we also offer Canadian(.ca), .TV , .CC and many alternative country domains ("uk.com", "eu.com" etc). We are also now offering pre-registration of .INFO and .BIZ names ! To give you full flexibility we have also partnered with a private registry to bring you .WS (which has it´s own terms and conditions).
- Email Forwarding
- Lets you use your domain name with your existing email account even if it is provided by a Free ISP. You can use any ID with your new domain and it will all be forwarded to your existing email account. For a small additional annual fee you can also have separate ID's set up to forward to separate email accounts.
- Web Forwarding
- Web Forwarding points your domain name to any web space (even free web space from your ISP) without having to involve your ISP at all ! This is useful because unless you have professional standard web space your ISP will usually be unwilling to configure their servers to accept your domain name to point to your web space.
- IP Pointing
- If you do have professional standard web hosting (usually the sort you need to pay for), we can point your domain name to your web site and Email in the standard way. You will need to tell your web site host which domain you have registered so that they can configure their server to correctly point to your web site and email.
- Domain Ownership
- Once registered, you will have exclusive rights to the domain name and you will not be charged any fee by us to transfer your domain to another registrar should you choose to do so. We are confident that you will want to stay with us for the innovative services and low prices that we offer, we do not need to charge high transfer fees (as some registrars do) to persuade you not to move elseware !
Optional Extras If you need even more features and control of your domain names you can take advantage of our Optional Extras, all carefully selected and offered at a price you can afford.
- Additional Email
- If you need more that the standard email forwarding you can buy batches of 5 email ID's (where each ID can forward to a separate email account) for £10 per year.
- Canonical Names
- If you want more than just "www.yourname.com" you can use canonical domains to give variations on your web site such as "sales.yourname.com" at £10 per year per canonical name.
- Self Managed DNS
- If you need full control of your own DNS then this is a "must have" option ! You can configure as many IP pointings, Email Forwardings, Web Forwardings and Canonical Names as you need. The cost is £30 per year for domain names hosted elseware £25 per year for a domain name held with us (including domains you have transferred to FrostByte from another host).

- Our Free ISP, all you pay for are the phone charges to your telephone supplier at local (0845) rates.
- FrostByte dmClub
- Our Free Unified Mesaging service, you get your own personal phone and Fax numbers so that phone calls and Faxes can be forwarded to you wherever you are. Voicemail and Faxes can also be forwarded to you via email !
